QUEUE
As you enter the ride, you'll find yourself in the inside running though the queue of an old fortress that has been captured by Mario. Inside, you can see Princess Peach has made renovations, donating some of her castle paintings to this fortress on the island. Some old Koopa traps can also be seen, as a tribute to boss battles in some of the original game.
PRE-SHOW

Written Narrator block appears in the center of the room (similar to the games): A long time ago, a young Bowser foresaw that Mario and Luigi would foil his plans in the future. After seeing this, Bowser sent Kamek, a Magikoopa to kidnap the brothers. So, under the service of young Bowser, attacks a stork delivering baby brothers Mario and Luigi.
A Painting then gives a ripple (Tribute to Mario 64) effect, exposing live AA characters

In one of the photos of Kamek he rallies his Toadies and sends them off, realizing he has only taken one baby: Luigi.
While the AA scene is commencing, we see another photo where the stork spins and drops the other baby unto Yoshi’s Island.

Another Painting then gives a ripple effect, exposing more live AA characters. The light’s dim on the Koopa’s, while we see baby Mario land unto the back of an AA Yoshi. He then reenters the painting.
The painting then ripples and grows, coaxing people to enter the story.
While loading, we notice Yoshi’s above with a classic digital written narrator exclaiming that the Yoshi’s have decided to return Mario home via a Yoshi relay system. Starting our journey.

Your adventure begins as you board your cart, which is designed to resemble Yoshi – but in a more realistic format than the 4 seaters we’ve previously seen in Nintendo attractions. As the cart moves forward, you'll pass by the friendly faces of the Yoshi, each with their unique colors and abilities.
Around 10 vehicles hold in a loading bay, where guests see and test controls for their Yoshi Panel, making this ride as interactive or as little interactive as wanted.

The first part of the ride will take you deep into the heart of the island's jungle, where you'll encounter a variety of obstacles, including Chomps, Swoopin' Stus, and Toadies. You'll need to duck and weave your way through the twisting pathways, all while avoiding getting hit by obstacles and enemies trying to impede your progress. (Which all can be done with each players Yoshi Panel Controls.)

Next, you'll ride on a wooden boat along a river, encountering giant turtles and several other creatures as you venture into a murky cave. Your Yoshi however, does not make one of the jumps, forcing you into an underwater mini-game.

Reaching shore, you reach a classic Mario desert, battling sand obstacles until you come across Toadies.

Kamek appears in the sky on a cloud and waves his wand, sending everyone to a race karts.
Suddenly, you'll find yourself in the middle of a race against Bowser and his minions, who have Luigi on their back. As you speed through the neon-lit racing track, Yoshi will do everything in their power to outsmart and outmaneuver the minions. The Yoshis do not win the race, but keep going in their cart to the peak of the mountain to face Kamek.

The finale of the ride will take you to the peak of the highest mountain on Yoshi's Island, where you find Kamek, who has now enchanted Young Bowser into a giant, final boss. Using all the different items you’ve collected - you'll need to work as a team with the other Yoshi vehicles until defeating Bowser and hearing the classic hero music.

The vehicles then turn, noticing we’ve collected baby Luigi and have freed the stork to make it’s delivery.

Before unload, the finale concludes with a flash forward where an older Mario and Luigi hits a question box, freeing Yoshisi, who has been trapped in an egg due to the Koopalings (a tribute to Super Mario World’s lore).

We see Mario has released many eggs, question mark boxes, and Yoshis. Saving Yoshis as the Yoshis saved him.

As we head back to loading, we hear the ever-classic Mario “Let’s-A-Go!” signaling his next adventure with Yoshi.
